An ETBC member speaks to the room beside the Toastmasters banner in Eindhoven

Eindhoven · Founding cohort 2026

Where entrepreneurs become better communicators and leaders.

A Toastmasters business club in Eindhoven, for founders, leaders and professionals ready to grow as communicators.

The problem

You were told the problem is confidence. It is not.

The pitch that leaves the room unmoved was always a no. The question is why.

Smart people do not lose the boardroom because they are shy. They lose it because they built the argument and improvised the delivery. The numbers were right. The deck was clean. The room still said it would think about it.

The real problem is not speaking. It is that no one ever trained you to take a room from interested to decided, live, under pressure, when the stakes are real.

What changes

ETBC puts the Toastmasters method to work on business rhetoric.

You get everything a Toastmasters club gives you, practice, feedback and real leadership roles, focused on the rooms where business gets decided. That focus is the whole reason this club exists in Eindhoven.

Applied, not theatrical

You practice in the rooms you actually walk into: the board, the pitch, the negotiation, the all-hands. Not invented scenarios.

Constructive and precise

Supportive Toastmasters evaluation, structured around the five classical canons. Encouraging, specific and ready to use on Monday.

Built for decisions

Every exercise ends with one question: did the room move? If it did not, we find out why before you leave.

The method

Two hours, built around business.

We run the proven Toastmasters meeting, with its speaking, evaluation and leadership roles, and we point every minute at the rooms you actually walk into. Two hours, every other week, on speaking that moves a business decision.

0:00 Networking

Thirty minutes of real conversation. The deals and the trust start before the gavel.

0:30 Three prepared speeches

Three members, ten to fifteen minutes each. Real business stakes, not generic topics.

1:15 Grouped evaluations

Each speech evaluated in three to five focused minutes, back to back, on the five canons. Supportive, specific, business-oriented.

1:35 Business table topics

Improvised answers to live business prompts. One evaluator closes the round in five to ten minutes, in a single pass.

1:50 Feedback and connections

Fifteen minutes to close loops, trade introductions, and lock the next commitment.

Questions

Straight answers.

No. Public speaking is the surface. We train you to take a room from interested to committed, in the settings where that actually pays: the board, the pitch, the negotiation, the all-hands.

Meetings run in English, the working language of Eindhoven's tech economy. We switch to Dutch for table topics and on request, so locals and internationals both get stretched. Fluent English is not a requirement to start.

If you already speak well, generic clubs bore you. This is built for that problem. Evaluation on the five classical canons reaches people who thought they had nothing left to improve.

One evening every other week, two hours, plus the preparation a speech deserves. We keep the rhythm tight and business-focused so your two hours are spent on speaking, evaluation and leadership that pays off at work.

The club charters as soon as twenty founding members confirm. Our target is 27 June 2026. If we need a few additional weeks, we take them. ETBC charters. The only question is when.
